I have the NDAC 1914 Agassiz published by the class of 1914. On October 5, 1912 or possibly 1913 it says the first game ever was played at Dacotah Field. It must have been on the parade ground south of Churchill Hall and east of the union.

"Our first game was played on October 5th with the Wahpeton Indians (bad name I know) resulting in an overwhelming victory for us. When the dust had cleared, the score stood 123-0 in our (AC) favor. This was also the first game played on the Dacotah Field and nobly did the boys respond to make it a memorable one."

Does anybody know if this is 1912 or 13?

Oh yea, that year the Aggies (I think it was the Aggies, although they never mention a nickname only "The AC") went 5-1 only allowing 6 pts: Fargo College 3 pts and und 3 pts.

The football media guide lists that game in 1912.

Thanks roadwarrior. The Media Guide is great. Do they still publish it? It used to cost $75 and you got a letter from the coach every week.

From the GoBison site:

Printed copies of this media guide may be purchased from the NDSU athletic media relations office by calling (701) 231-7197.

The media guide is also available on the gobison site in PDF format. The 2005 edition has not been loaded yet.

I believe you can still place an order for a printed copy of the media guide. It is no longer available as a part of the From The Huddle weekly letter. They have replaced it with the Team Makers newsletter which is monthly. Since they now post them on the GoBison website it isn't too big of a deal.
