So I recently was sitting down listening to some music and the audio clips of the Gold Star Marching Band I have came up and I got to thinking about a cool project for an NDSU composer.
I think it would be cool to have some sort of music piece for each of our past presidents. For example the Joe Chapman March, or the L.D. Loftsgard Overture.
Something similar that I can think of is an artist by the name of Sufjan Stevens who is doing something similar, only he is releasing an album for every state. I put a link up for anyone interested http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sufjan_Stevens
It is a bit more of an undertaking, but the same basic idea goes for writing pieces personally tailored to each president. It would involve some research and a great deal of musical knowledge that I do not have.
