Week 2's Stupid Idea

Put together my own Bison promo spot. Hehe, I have no video camera, no skills, no video clips or anything like that, but I think I'd be willing to give it a try. Mytube and google video takes care of where to host it though.

-or-

Sponsor a contest for the best Bison promo. Not sure how that would work.

Week 1's Stupid Idea: Show that your section is the best. Some people are already doing this so maybe it's not such a stupid idea.

Here's a quick 3 highlight video I made of the NDSU vs Concorida-St. Paul. If I find some time tomorrow I'll make an extended version...

with the relatively low cost of producing video

i'd be a proponent of a regular series of commercials with highlights from the past week's games concluding with the date of the next game and Coach Bohl saying, "See you in the stands!"

Here's a longer version now... about 3 minutes in length, plus I threw some transitions in there to spice things up as well...

I likes it, DomeGuy!!!

BTW, I think my wife's sorority sisters sang the song from the soundtrack at our wedding dance (brought a tear to my eye).

If you don't mind me asking, what software/hardware did you use to put that together?

I'm just working on scripts/story boards right now for some 30 to 60 second short films, but it's never to early to buy shiny toys that do cool things.

This is awesome! Can you do this for all the home games?

RE: Music... Yeah, I like soft music, so get use to it!

I used Ulead Video Studio 10 to capture and encode the video. And then I use Premeire 2.0 Pro to edit. I just got Premeire Pro and haven't used it much, so wanted to just try it out... works pretty good. I like the encoder to make the video 'internet friendly'.

If someone has a file server, I can encode the full DV version and upload it for everyone... it will be a pretty big file, but the quality is really good.

You've got to put this up on Anygivensaturday.com for the rest of the I-AA world to enjoy. Very nice work.

Awesome job Herdster!

How do you like the Ulead software? I tried it a few years ago, but the Pinnacle Studio series was much better at the time. Working with Ulead felt like walking through two feet of wet concrete.

Ulead, to me, seems to put an importance on file organization and management...which is needed...but when it comes to actually editing, it seems to very cumbersome.

This new version of Premiere is pretty slick. Real-time transition viewing...about time!

Great job with the videos Herdster. I enjoyed watching the CSP game highlights so much that I watched them 7 times in a row. Couldn't get enough. Also took a look at the SDSU game. I really like your choice of music. Keep it up. Already looking forward to the Northeastern game highlights. Thanks for your effort! ++++++++++++ :)

I took you up on that and they love the clips on AGS. 8-) The thread is in the GWFC section titled "Fantastic game clips from herdster on Bisonville"
