Round II! Ding, ding!

Please don't vote if you are not an NDSU fan - you can do whatever you like with your imaginary arena, leave ours alone :)

Geeez, Tony. When do you sleep?

Until my current work project is done I might be able to sleep for a couple hours between 5 am and noon. This could explain why my tolerance for certain stuff is all but gone :)

All this talk about arena capacity.......like what we think will matter. * Many have posted it all comes down to $$$. *Yes and No. *If there is a potential need for 1000 more capacity in the near future, or maybe expandibility for 2 or 3K down the road it should be taken into consideration. *The actual cost delta and the fact that this will be a 30 plus year facility make this an important factor. *Its not like the facility will be paid in cash up front. *It comes down to something like this:
7000 seat facility, no expandibility......my guess 35 million cost
8000 seat facility......my guess 40 million cost
7500 seat facility with 2500 future expandibility......my guess 45 to 50 million dollar cost

Looks like The Mayor hit the sweet spot with Bison fans with his 8,000-seat figure.

Now we just have to pool our money and come up with $40 million so it can be wholly-owned by NDSU and maybe operated by the FargoDome folks :)

I think expandability is the most important thing here. I don't mind going a bit small as long as we have options to add seats if needed. I have no doubts that the Fargodome will be outgrown, but there's not much we can do about it. We don't want to be in that situation with this place! Also can we please make something that's actually eye pleasing!!

I would like nice padded seats with plenty of leg room.

The mayor has a fondness for Bison basketball. Sorry Bisonguy plastic seats are ok but my back says padded, Like the ones in the southend of the FARGO CIVIC.

The city probably still has some of those old padded red seats stuck in a warehouse somewhere. (like the ones in the Civic and the Fargodome) Just how old you ask? Well they were used by fans of the Minneapolis Lakers.

There are probably a bucket load in Ames as they finally pulled those suckers out of Hilton Coliseum.
