Looks like Ray Giacoletti (sp) will be name Utah's new head coach. Wow. The guy's done pretty well for himself since leaving NDSU. I was never overly impressed with him here. I don't think we ever made the postseason while he was here and IMO he left the program in worse shape than it was when he came in.

was he here long enough to ruin the program? i'd say the way erv left the program was worse

I don't think he ruined the program. But when Billeter left, we'd made the postseason 4 times in a row and Giacoletti was never able to duplicate that success. Maybe his philosophy was radically different than Billeter and he just needed time to turn things around. Since he's left NDSU I think he's proved that he can coach, or else Utah would not have hired him.

"DO SOMETHING", "SCREEN SOMEBODY"

Sorry I had to say it. Anyone remember Ray yelling those infamous words during the many lulls at the BSA during his tenure?

Anyways, best of luck to Ray!

How about a Bison vs Ute, home & home series.
