Who was you favorite Bison Men's Basketball player to watch?

Jeff Askew - I am probably not the only one, attendance during his playing days averaged 5-6000 per game. His no-look passes were great to watch. He made everyone around him better.

I haven't followed basketball as strongly as I have football, so my list can only go back to the mid-90's. Craig Aamot would be #1, since he is the best player I saw in a Bison uniform.

Askew or Berwald for me.

You had a power forward about the same time as Berwald, named Reiger, who I thought was a very solid inside player. He seem to present problems for the Jacks as I recall. Also Aamot was murder from the 3 pt arch. Antanio Ross was another good athlete.

I think you mean Joe Reigner?

Joe Reiner or Ray MacKenzie. Anthony "Dunkin" Hines was fun to watch...while he lasted anyway.

Oh come on ... hands down the best of the best was Bart Inniger (Irv Innigers son). Just kiding you guys I always like to slam Irv.

I'd have to go with Art Bunker (as in Bunker field house) who played in the 1950's.

I'd vote for Lance Berwald, Jeff Askew, & Kelvin Wynn in that order.

I was at the game Berwald went 20-20 from the field and I think he might have also been perfect from the free throw line during that same game.

Askew is the most memorable player from the early 80s when I first became a Bison fan and It seems like I remember Kelvin Wynn working at the NYSP sports camp at NDSU at least one year when I was a particpant.

Jeff Askew.

I had him for a coach at NDSU summer basketball camp in 1987 as a 6th grader. *I used to rebound for him when there was some spare time to screw around. *I'll never forget, he hit 33 straight 3-pointers from the top of the key. *By the end there was a whole group of kids watching him, counting out what number he was on. *I felt like a stud because I was the one rebounding. *
