Women win 80-49 but Amanda Girodat got injured... sounded painful.

She was interviewed in the pregame (she sounded charming) and was playing very well when she tried to stop and under the basket and something just gave way. Here's to hoping she recovers fully and quickly.

Ouch...Hope Amanda is OK...she is a solid back-up point guard who had 7 assists and 7 boards in the first game.

Against Bemidji, Brandee Gibbs registered 18 points and 8 boards to go with 2 blocked shots. Katie Lorentz also hit double figures with 12.

After two games, the Bison are being led by back-up center Gibbs who is first in scoring ave with 15. 5 points, 1st in boarding ave. with 11, 1st in blocks with 4.5 per game and tied for 1st in assists with 3.5 per game. Back-up power forward Dani Heintzelman is 2nd in scoring and rebounding with 14 ppg and 9 rpg.

Alison Hansen, a 6-2 center should be cleared to play after sitting out the opening weekend due to injury.

Amanda Girodat is hurt pretty bad. Though it hasn't been stated in the papers I definitely think her season is in jeopardy if not over.

She had a break away and was going to make a lay up. She paused, appeared to be trying to jump and then went down. You could tell something was wrong.

Of course there was a sixty year old bison fan two rows in front of me wondering why a foul wasn't called. Gotta love the senile!
