I thought this National Independent Tourney was D1

Hey, maybe someone can clear this up for me...I thought that NDSU was playing in an independent tourney for NCAA D1 schools without a conference. If that's the case, why did they play an NAIA school in Central State (OH) today?

I think it's a tourney for independents period, both DI and DII. Central State is now DII again.

The host school is also just moving into D-II. Its main purpose for both of the SU's is to fill three games in the year one transition, when scheduling any game at all was a challenge.

Oh, well, at least Jacks and Herd get to renew acquaintences down in sunny FLA.

Maybe we can start working on a true D-I Independents' Tournament hosted in balmy Fargo or tropical Sioux Falls at the end of next year. (Although I'd think that maybe Corpus Christi might be good in late February).
