Just wondering who is going to the men's and women's games against SDSU on Feb. 26? Even though the games are two weeks away I am getting excited for the trip to Fargo. I hope the weather is good and Bisonfan1 plans on bringing the battlewagon. I am also bringing my youngest daughter up for a campus tour at 11 AM. Hope to get at least one of my kids to attend my old school. One attended Nebraska, another is currently at Minnesota, one at Wisconson - La Crosse and even have one that just enrolled at USD. I want a packed, rowdy, house at the games on Saturday night to show what kind of spirit we have at NDSU!

I'm getting off work that night to go to the games. Luckily, I'm a student who lives on campus, which means I don't have to worry about parking, and my ticket is free. ;D

I hope we get the student section ROCKING!!!

OK Bisonator, I expect a crowd and some noise from the student section. Get the yellow and green out so SDSU knows they are in our house! Hope you can get some of the "paying" fans to get off their seats and help make the trip back to SD a miserable one for SDSU's men's and women's teams. Time to start showing up and cheering like a DI university!

Way to go X-Factor! The students should all go a little nuts for this game!
Bisonguy where are you sitting? I have tickets on the aisle between sections S and T in row 24. Should be fairly good seats! Hope Bisonfan1 shows up with the battlewagon......should all meet there for a pre-game toast.
GoBison!

Need to sell this game out with Bison fans and help save the Rabbits from wasting their time coming to the game. Kind of getting a bit smacky, but oh well, this is a big game! Don't hear much from JackMD lately.........

Dunno where I'll sit yet. My father sits in Section D near the aisle by section E, up about 10 rows. Might sit up by him, or go for GA seats and try to get some pictures from one of the corners.

My wife is going with, so unless I want bruised ribs, probably just the game. :'(

The "one and only" home game of the year that means anything!

The BSA will be packed with 5,000 plus fans for the SDSU game!

Won't it be great when every game at the BSA means something and big crowds are common! Get your reserved tickets for the 2005-2006 season, the Bison DI March will be on!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can confidently say that the Big Green Monster will make it to the parking lot. There may also be some flag waving in the BSA that night.

I'll certainly be there, with a rabbit hanging from a rope duct taped to my sousaphone. A toy rabbit, of course.....

Who is planning on getting together for an organized grill out etc. prior to the first game, maybe around 2:00 PM or so. It is supposed to be fairly good weather and with a couple shelters put up to block the wind, would'nt be any worse than some of the football games. It would be fun to greet SDSU with a Division I pre game atmosphere. Lets get the flags up in the sky also !!

I'll be there keeping section C from falling asleep in between substitution buzzers.

I'm also putting up $20 for the first person to chuck a dead bunny on center court... any takers?

Our former rivals (Augie and USD) used to give us a lot of free points by chucking those dead bunnies on the court. Feel free to begin the tradition!

It has been done before.

It will never be as bad as the SDSU crowd throwing a frozen coyote during a USD game, and beaning a cheerleader.

I'll donate the bunny. He's carefully packaged in a Hornbacher's bag, inside a Target bag, protected in a garbage can, and should be frozen solid by now.

The rabbits and occasional coyotes were bad enough. Let's talk about empty whiskey bottles. Yep, I really miss playing USD /sarcasm.

I always wanted to have a willing buddy dress up as a Viking, then throw him out on the court during an Augie game. I'd bail him out, if he wound up in the county jail. It would be glorious.

Go Rabbits!

If you put a skirt on a wooden-headed ventriloquist dummy that talks out of both sides of its mouth, stuff it with poker chips, and then paint a pornstache on it, you'd end up with an eerily life-like facsimile of a UND administrator to throw on the floor (seriously, it would fool 90% of the people - Ryan Bakken would probably *quote it in his next article).

Apologies: this isn't the smack board.

I sure hope no bunnies are tossed on the floor. Game will be close enough without getting technicals.

No apologies necessary. That's good humor. And the truth, too, for what it's worth.

No bunnies tossed to the floor tonight (yet) but the night is young!

Bison men lose to the Jacks. :'(

Jacks went on a nice run at the end of the first half to turn a Bison 10 or 11 point lead into a two point Jacks lead at the half. The Jacks then put a couple nice runs together in the second half to put the game out of reach.

Congrats to the Jacks me on the win!

Yeah what a sloppy game by the men. Jacks got inside their heads and they folded. Hit a bucket you guys geez!

That Steve Holdren is a good looking player for SDSU, and Joe Green is an athletic big guy, solid solid player. He could do pretty much everything except dunk.

I can't wait for next year, Miles will have all his guys, and we will see the real deal in Woodside!

Coach Miles said in post game interview that the NDSU VS SDSU matchup in Fargo is January 14, 2006, so mark your calenders and get tickets early as I plan to make this one next year.

I respect Tim Miles a great deal, a classy guy and hey being from South Dakota helps. I also listen to him yesterday on the WDAY sports show with Mike McFeely.
They had quite a discussion about Mike's column.

He had an answer for those who "Wonder why Joe Blow was not recruited.?" He said he tells the kids that he expects a lot and he has told them this tranisition period is for those who have the faith and want to work hard. Its not for the fairweather athlete who wants to be on a winning team. I think that is as fair as any coach can be in this D1 transitution period. He want committment and that what fans and alums should expect when you consider the student athlete is going to get a free education.

According to Scot Nagy, he confers quite regularily with Tim Miles and there is a mutual respect.

Yea, but she was our cheerleader. She needed to duck. ;)
