Since when did the University of South Dakota become DI?

In reviewing the article on the WBCA 2005 Top 25 Team Honor Roll at gobison.com, the University of South Dakota is listed at #12 on the DI list. They can't have confused USD with SDSU as SDSU is listed at #2 (congrats, Rabbits).
Also congrats NDSU #4.

T9 Northern Arizona University Laurie Kelly 3.392
12 University of South Dakota Chad Lavin 3.391
13 University of New Mexico Don Flanagan 3.387

Whole article at:

Maybe this was discussed elsewhere, but if so, I missed it.

The WBCA has it screwed up on their website so the problem is on their end.

They must have assumed that USD was DI since NDSU and SDSU were.

I didn't notice UND on any of the lists(division II)? I thought they had intelligent players too.

Well, not to be a stickler, but getting good grades and being intelligent aren't the same thing :) Besides, grade inflation is rampant at some schools.

Anyway, I'm thinking that if the WBCA made one mistake, they could have easily made another. I expected UND to show up on the DII list too and am pretty sure that they should have.

The article said coaches had to apply for their team. Maybe UND coaches didn't get their team registered.
