Tom Lunde, the redshirt freshman forward from Ulen Mn., broke his wrist in practice and will be out 8 weeks. This happened before the Canada trip so he did not play at all.

Man, that's tough... waiting a whole year to play and then getting banged up? Ouch.

Hopefully he recovers quickly and fully.

I guess the good news is that he should be healed up by the time the regular season starts. Still a tough break though.

I would think that it may take longer than the 8 weeks to get the wrist back to 100%........best of luck to Mr. Lunde......

At least it's his non-shooting wrist. He will be able to keep up with conditioning and everything else except ball control, so I think he will be fine once the season gets going full swing.

Andre Smith, the JC recruit from NDSCS, also did not play up in Canada. He is still recovering from a wrist injury which happened last March in the National JC tournament. The Bison will need his 6'8" frame in the post.

How is Tom Lunde coming along with the wrist injury?

The Forum sports reports today that Andre Smith is having his foot x-rayed to see if it is broken. Andre is averaging 12 points and 6 rebounds for the Bison men.

Reported over on Jacks Board that our best player Stever Holdren is out for the season with a torn ACL. The Jacks were not very deep and now are really hurting.

X-rays came up negative, which is positive for him to play on saturday.

What's the deal with Lunde?

Has he seen any action since his concussion, or was there another injury, or are the coaches just sitting him out this year for precautionary reasons?

I have a curious feeling that he might not be around the program long, and I'm just trying to be honest. He hasn't shown that he can stay healthy, 6 scholarships is alot for one class, and the bison have shown they can play great without him.

I feel bad for the guy, and I know coaches have too much class to just yank his scholarship, but that scholarship could be better spent on a young guy coming in you will be healthy and contribute to the program down the road.

just my 2 cents.

But does anyone know what's going on with his injury or why he isn't playing?
