How much of the Wisconsin win and the NDSU almost win at UofM in football will spill over into the BB game? It was well attended last year but I think it will be bigger this year. Alumni association better find a bigger room or have the gathering off-site.

The Gopher fans are going to pick up their men's basketball schedule and see NDSU as their first game and are going to say, "not again"! ;D

Is there an NDSU allotment/section or how is the best way to get tickets?

Talked to Coach Miles during a break and after the game. Seeing the fan support for this game, he's really cranked up for his opportunity to bring his team to the Barn.

I went to the Gopher game last year down at The Barn. Can't make it this year though, because it is a Monday night. I'm sure that is going to affect the Bison attendance versus a weekend night.

I agree...I think the NDSU attendence will be hurt by the fact it is on a monday night...I would have loved to seen in on a weekend.

Didn't make it last year, but I'll be at the barn this year. I guess if the Monday game is going to hurt the number of people coming from the good side of the river that just means all of us stuck on the dark side will just have to pick it up a notch.

NDSU will likely get very few good tickets. (and these will likely be used by President Chapmen, large donors, etc.) You can still get tickets online at gophersports.com though.

I went to the Bison practice last night just to see how we were looking. OH MY. You look at the entire roster and every kid is solid. This is a team with depth. Each kid that is on the team is now a D1 athlete. They are athletic and play above the rim. During the 5 on 5, the starters were better than the reserves, but it wasn't significant. Austin Pennick was in Woodside's shorts...94 feet. He is a stud athlete. I think his shot may still be average at best, but he will be a guy who is subbed in to cool a guy off. Tweidt from SD is also looking very good. Sounds like both freshman will redshirt, but he will add weight and be very good. Similar to Winkelman in style??? Sounds to me like they will play some small ball. Anyway, they looked awesome, the starters looked real good and they really compete with eachother. Think of the depth on the team. I am fired up about the prospects of going to the barn for a 2nd time, hoping the refs actually want to give us a fair shake and hoping that Ben doesn't get into foul trouble like last year. We have a shot. I hope Mason is a guest coach for that game with Monson. Maybe he will call a timeout if we are too loud.

Good to hear we have some quality depth. How does Vaughn look? Hope everyone stays healthy.

I was going to ask the same question....I am getting excited to see this kid play

*Think of the depth on the team. *

This will only make the program that much better.

Better athletes on the team = more position battles, and battles fo r playing time = will create a higher intensity practice day in and day out = better overall product

IMHO.

With our Wisconsin win last year, the fact that our entired BB team is back, the fact that Miles is back, and the way our football team played against Minnesota .......I have a ton of confidence that we are going to win. Two years ago, if you asked me if we could beat Minnesota in Basketball or Football I would have said your crazy! Also, 9 out of our 13 players on our roster are from Minnesota. I don't think Miles is going to have to say anything to get them motivated.

I bought tickets this week but they are not the best seats. Maybe I should have talked to Lakes before I bought mine. I am looking forward to a very good game. If Woodside stays out of foul trouble this year NDSU has a great chance to win this game.

Only one change on the bus trip. They will not be stopping at the Victory Bar on the way down (Simmers said this today at teammakers). There is an Alumni function before the game that will cost you $15 to get in. I've never been to the Barn. Wouldn't miss it for a million!!!

How would people recommend getting good tickets? I've looked online and I can't find any yet except for directly from the Gophers in the upper deck. There has to be better seats available, I can't imagine that too man Gopher fans are fired up about their squad.

Any on EBAY? Or try the scalper route?

I'm thinking that the best bet is finding a ticket outside of Williams or walkup. I didn't like the seat selections on the gopher site either.

Ok, I tried ebay, razorgator.com, and a couple of other scalping site but nothing yet. I wonder if it's because it was announced later. The scalping day of game idea is ok except that I'm going to the Alumni function which starts at 5. Doubt there would be scalpers out that early.

I think for the people who wont be able to make it down to the cities should find a place to get together to watch it on a big screen or projector screen, monday night isnt exactly convenient for alot of people

I know someone is going to freek out about copyright, but it would be awsome if some could stay home with the DVD recorder (pausing it between commercials) and make a nice copy of the expected (as opposed to upset) victory of the Bison. I will be at the game or I'd love to. 8-)

FYI, all of the major tickets brokers now have tickets for this game. They all appear to have pretty much the same tickets, however.
