I thought on channel 11 last night they showed a shot of some of the players coming down from hector airport I think one of them was carrying the trophy. It looked like a glass circle/disk, Im not sure if that was it though.

YES, there was a trophy and it was a glass circular shape. And YES, it is nicer than the Great West thing.

Does this mean the basketball team can enter the championship room? ;) The only won a tournament but it had a better trophy.

I don't know if this should go under football or here, but.....

There is a Great West Conference Championship trophy. The thing they had during game night was just a temporary solution. One was made with NDSU's name, one with SDSU's name. The SDSU team drove up both framed plaques/pictures, which were made in Brookings. The trophy will be sent to NDSU as soon as the Bison's name is engraved on it. And no, despite a great win over Marquette, the basketball team cannot go into the Championship Room.

I know I was joking because I believe the Championship Room is for football only.

Timmy Miles had a couple of us "regulars" to his house on Sunday Night to watch the Marquette game, if you watched the news that night, Michael Tweidt was carrying the trophy in the airport (he is the guy the guy that looked like Jeremy Shockey). It is a nice trophy, however he clearly stated that his trophy for winning the Bison Open was his most cherished trophy.....23 under par.

Please explain. Miles won the Bison Open with a 23 under performance. For how many holes? Not familiar with the format of the Bison Open.

23 under on 18 holes at Fargo Country Club. 6 person scramble. Great fundraiser for NDSU and about as much fun as you can have. Strongly suggest forming a team if you have not in the past. As long as you don't plan on winning it........2nd Monday in September typically.

Par 3's - 4 Birdies (-4)
Par4's - 9 birdies and 1 eagle (-11)
Par 5's - 4 Eagles (-8)

23 under total

Miles only shot of the tournament was the eagle putt on the par 4 and he has not shut up about it since then.

I was looking for a picture online of the trophy and couldn't find one but I hope it looks better than this one....Mid-Con Championship trophy. *It looks like something my team got in high shool for winning districts.

Yeah, no kidding. The trophies for 1st place in hare scrambles are 4 feet tall. Heck, 4th is still 18 inches tall!
