Looks like our RPI has settled in at the 120-130 area which is pretty solid. NDSU is currently ranked 128th but if Marquette is able to knock off a highly ranked Pitt team on the road look for our RPI to get a nice boost. If anyone is interested in watching some basketball today Marquette and Pitt play at 2PM on CBS.

The beauty of the RPI is if the strong people you lose to win, you get a boost too. SO, TT's upset of Kansas yesterday must have helped.

Yeah, I'm sure it did help a bit and at least cancelled out the horrible loss Minnesota had to Northwestern.

MU wins in what was a great game, this should give our RPI a bit of a lift.

Pitt played like hell. The refs sucked. Ruined my afternoon. Although the Pete was rocking for awhile. :)

Yup. Nice Saturday afternoon of basketball.

(I am doing a grad degree at Pitt)

And to be fair, as much as I would have liked to seen Pitt win, I feel a bit better knowing it helped out NDSU's RPI.

well NDSU's RPI could be about 100 if Tex Tech, Marquette keep upsetting top 10 teams.

K State, Minnesota, Col State need to step it up

Princeton is average this year. :(

Even if our previous opponents keep winning, it will be difficult for our RPI to get below 100 because of our upcoming opponents.

RPI is...
25% your winning percentage
50% your opponents winning percentage
25% your opponents-opponents winning percentage

As of 1/22/07 ---> NCAA's official RPI (updated every Monday) ---> NDSU is 127 out of 336

NDSU's RPI is 111 after the win over Utah Valley State and it should rise a bit more if Idaho can hang to beat Boise St(they are up 8 at the half).

108 is still pretty impressive. The best Mid-Con is at 95(Oral Roberts) and second is 97(Oakland). The best Big Sky is 137(Idaho State) and then 177(Weber State). Montana at 200 and they went to the Big Dance last year.

Duke has not successfully closed out a game this year. They could easily have won the last three games (of wich they lost all 3). Too bad, would have helped us out imensley.
