I was looking at some career numbers and realized that Woody has 842 points which is getting pretty close to that 1k number. He would need to go on quite a run to crack the 1k mark this year(over 26 points per game over the final 6) but even if he comes up short it's very impressive to see him getting so close to 1k in such a short time.

Only 24 players in NDSU history have scored over 1000 in their careers.

Denver TenBroek has the record at 1813.

Its going to be something looking back at the numbers Woodside, Nelson and Winkelman will have put up when they finish their careers.

Also here are the numbers for Nelson and Winkelman right now..
Nelson has 701 points and Winks has 681 both are on pace to break the 1k mark next year along with Woody

Dre has also put up 725 points so far and it is too bad he only got two years at SU but I guess we are also lucky that we got two years to watch Dre grow into such a great player. Big men like him aren't too common in the mid-major ranks.

dont count woddy out for the 1000 mark this season...i remember last year at the end he went on a rampage and was averaging well over 20 the last few games down the stretch ;D

Hell, I thought Woody was going to get to 1000 during the second half against K-State.

Two years may be a little early to start speculating, but if we do a little quick math. *;D

Say Woody averages as little as 11 over the final 6 this year, and is able to replicate his first two years. We could have a new all time leader by the time all is said and done.
