"I was out there trying to bask in the glory as long as I could, for real. I knew as soon as I stepped off the floor the crowd was going to start cheering for the football players, so I kept them cheering for me as long as possible".

I'm not so sure on that. If you followed anything Andre related over the past years you'll know he likes to joke around. That quote sounds like he was trying to be funny.

Andre is a 'me' kind of guy... Regardless of how he's been conditioned that's in him. Not that this is bad, but it was just pointed out.
