We're getting some real raunchy spam lately from some (dickholes) who either like to mess around with certain boards, or who are sleazy businesspeople from far away foreign countries and know nothing on how to make a quick buck.

Is there a way we could install some type of firewall for this kind of crap??

Thanks.

If you find spam, don't bump it to the top by responding to it. If there is link in the spam, don't click on it. As soon as one of the moderators sees it, it'll get deleted.

Anyway, I can't think of a firewall that will prevent this kind of spam. I think the spam is generated by a spambot... if the protections were off, then the spam would be appearing in every forum on the board.

I saw the spam right after it happened but saw there was no moderator available and didn't know how to get ahold of one. I would certainly have been happy to make a phone call to alert you to the problem.

The amount of spam here pales in comparison to what I get on my PC at work.

I agree with that.....so far the spam on Bisonville seems fairly minimal. Work is another story.......then again.....with all those emails.....maybe I really do need viagra.... ;)
