The Story on Tommy Leikas?

Was Tommy Leikas ever considered a prospect for NDSU? I know he is walking on at UND right now. Why is he not on a scholarship? Wasn't he Mr. Basketball? This is similar to the Craig Nelson question, but y were North Dakota point guards were overlooked in the eyes of UND and NDSU for the past two years?

I heard that he spent a year in prep school to "prep" himself for Division I basketball. Apparently the Division I offers were not there.

Why didn't UND give him(Leikas) a scholarship? Was Josh Doyle the only guy they were looking at for guards? Was NDSU ever after Josh Doyle(Bettendorf)? UND is pretty high on this First Team All-State point guard.
