I see that West Kentucky and West Illinois are in the Gateway. Aren't both of those perennial D1AA contenders?

Yes, those are both very good I-AA teams, but there has been talk of W. Kentucky moving up to I-A and joining the SunBelt Conference, of which they are already a member for basketball.

Southern Illinois and Northern Iowa are also contenders this year. The Gateway Conference will probably be the best I-AA conference again this year.

Great research Kent! Those are interesting figures. It shows that NDSU will be one of the top teams for attendance in D1AA.

Western KY needs to work on thier attendance if they want to play D1A. I think they are worse that Wyoming, and Wyoming is always under fire for not enough attendance to stay D1A.

NDSU would be 22nd according to this weeks attendance list, SDSU would be 61st. Both pretty decent, all things considered.
