Just Curious -- Was it just last year when they made the transition (I like to call unnecessary probation) period to 5 years? Florida Atlantic just made the playoffs after only having a football program for 3 years! Here is espn's story...

They lost to D2 Valdosta St. 45-17 this year. They also played Northern Colorado and won by 2.

Did you notice who their coach is? He is the guy who took Miami from being a nobody to a national power.

Schnellenberger is a hell of coach... he has been around for some time, was even an OC under some of Bear Bryant's glory years.
