Gary Barta - where is he now

For the youngsters and those whose memories are going: Gary Barta was Bentrim's back up - he scored some touchdowns even in the 1986 playoff run.

The Casper Tribune is reporting this morning that Gary Barta will be named the new WYOMING AD. Congrats to Gary!

I remember Gary as a really nice guy (I guess that makes me an old fart). He started out at NDSU as a linebacker, then moved to tight end and then moved to QB (he was a third stringer even in his senior year). He was the ultimate team player and Wyoming got a good man if the reports are true.
