Are these teams unusually good this year or what? I know they are usually decent...but this year seems like they are maybe 1-2 in the central region above traditional powers like NDSU and PSU.

Central Mo. isn't that big of a suprise, especially with NWMSU having a bad year so far. CMSU has had records of 10-2 the last two years in the MIAA, and 7-4 the two prior to that. Winona isn't much of a suprise either. They did give UND one of their better playoff games in 2001.

I can see why you wouldn't be suprised about CMSU...but WSU...come on...they play in the NSIC. A conference that limits scholarships. The fact that they are rated so high with the big boys of the NCC and MIAA is amazing. Sure they do good against the weak NSIC teams...but they are especially talented this year.
