The first regional rankings are out. Here is the Midwest Region. NDSU is at #4. UNO at #3 and UND at #5.

Here is the complete list:

The selection committee better have NDSU at #1 or #2 just for the make up factor of 2000. ::)

I know CMSU played a weak non-conference schedule, but I don't know how they can be below the sue, who played an equally weak schedule plus have a loss.

Quoted for complete agreement. Cro-Magnon State has a good team this year. Hopefully SDSU puts the sewage back in the gutter! Go bunnies!

Four this year. Next year is the start of six teams per region and the next step in watering down of D2 football.

I think Mesa St. is doing well this year. That is probably why UND's loss to them isn't hurting more.

You are correct. Mesa State is 4-1 on the season but they do face a big test this weekend at Chadron State who is also 4-1 and picked by many to win the Rocky Mountain Conference.

I guess this is turning into the NHL. Maybe all teams should make the playoffs. Thank God we will be out of this.
