Drake in 2005?

FootballScoop.com lists both schools as trying to fill open dates on Oct 15, 2005.

Any thoughts?

No offense to the Bulldogs, but I would rather have NDSU play competition from better conferences than the Pioneer. Although if we did play them we could get back at them for stealing Matt Woodley. :) That guy would have been a great guard in the NCC.

As long as they're DI opponents, I don't care. I just don't want to see any NAIA or DII teams next year for football. NDSU track has been paticipating in the Drake Relays for a few years, maybe Drake will be on the BB schedule next year.

Drake leads the series 2-0, so I'd like to at least see NDSU get a chance to even it up.

After that, as long as the game is competitive, then I think it would be great to play Drake - it's a game that isn't an impossible drive for most fans.

I think playing Drake would be great. It would help expand NDSU's prowess into Iowa though I doubt the game would be that close. It would be nice to play at UNI/Iowa State/Drake every few years.

Drake would be a good game. They bring a powerful offense that relies on the passing game but the defense gives up almost as much as the offense produces. It has the makings of a fun game with the potential for a lot of offense. This would be a good series to start.
