I thought this article was pretty cool:

Rod Malone Cactus Bowl Diary (http://story.theinsiders.com/a.z?s=67&p=2&c=220206)

Rod Malone Updated (http://story.theinsiders.com/a.z?s=71&p=2&c=220206)

I like the way he writes.

Mike Wieser got invited to a combine:

LaCrosse Tribune story about Mike (http://www.lacrossetribune.com/articles/2004/01/08/sports/bey.txt)

Tony,

Could you help out those who maybe aren't as knowledgeable in the use of the Internet?

How in the heck do you find all these different articles from newspapers all over the states?

Hmmm....so Rod Malone has a fascination with Hooters. Did anybody tell him there's one in Fargo? ;D

I think the Hooters thing is clever.

Runtheoption, I use the Google news search, news.google.com and search for: "North Dakota State" football.

The best part is that if you do the search once, you can tell Google to send you updates via email whenever new stories are found on your chosen topic by clicking a link at the bottom of the page showing the search results. That's what I've done so now any time Google runs across a story about North Dakota State football, I get an email (usually one a day).

Many online newspapers (e.g. the Fargo Forum) aren't indexed by Google though.

Heck, I usually don't suggest stuff, but I also really like the Google toolbar (toolbar.google.com).

No idea why the response time on the site is so poor today. If it continues, I'll get in contact with my ISP.

Charlies Walters mentioned Rod Malone turning down a CFL offer in today's column.

Rod Malone, the DeLaSalle grad who rushed for 1,350 yards at North Dakota State last season, has declined an offer to sign with a Canadian Football League team in order to prepare for April's NFL draft.

Today's Pioneer Press had Rod Malone projected as a 7th round pick or possible free agent for the NFL draft this weekend.

What makes me the most excited about this is that Kyle Steffes was ahead of Malone on the depth chart coming out of last spring, and they still shared alot of carries until Steffes got hurt. Seeing the guy he was neck and neck with all spring and fall possibly being an NFL draft pick would have to do wonders for Steffes' confidence.

and we have Chapman pushing Steffes.

From today's Forum:

.....for NDSU running back Rod Malone, who agreed to terms on a free-agent contract with the Oakland Raiders on Tuesday
