What happened to the idea of new locker rooms at the FargoDome?

The last i heard the Fargodome and NDSU were fighting over how to pay for it. Aparatnly the new lockerrooms won't be completed by next fall as was originally requested by coach Bohl.

I'm not in the construction business, but how long does it take to build a lockerroom? I mean, cmon..they have the whole summer to build it assuming it gets approved before then.

It wasn't as much how to pay for it, but rather who should pay for it. There was concern if NDSU paid for the construction, they would "own" part of a city-owned building. I think the conflict was within Fargodome committees.

Seeing as how these are just practice locker rooms, I can't see construction taking over a month. Drawing up plans, approval of said plans, accepting bids, etc. is where more time would be involved.

I am in the construction business, and in my opinion, *if the plans were complete, the scope of work I thought they were talking about could reasonably be completed in 6 months. *4 or 5 if it is really pushed. *Maybe I'm not thinking of the right scope of work. Wasn't the price tag a little over $1mil?

North Dakota State University and the Fargodome hope to have a contract in place by the end of the month allowing the Bison football team to temporarily take over part of the dome. (http://www.in-forum.com/articles/index.cfm?id=59398&section=News)
