I finally took a look at the official NCC web site and I see we are off of it. It is good to be leaving D2 behind. Too bad the division got so watered down with schools that were not serious about athletics. The past is now behind us and the future is bright!

The NCC is a shell of its former self. It used to be the strongest conference in the nation, now it might not even be the second strongest conference in the midwest region. I think the MIAA is clearly stronger now and there might be one more that is better ( i can't think of any other names).

We arent in the NCC anymore, so why be listed? We are still in the historical stats.

I would not necessarily limit that to athletics. I would add, "It's good to be leaving behind the DII mentality." As President Chapman said, "We want to be a division one university in all respects." - To be truly DI we [NDSU] must strive for excellence in academics, as well.
