Attendance estimates??

The homecoming crowd was smaller (and more quiet) than I would have hoped. I'm not sure if the word is getting out well about the quality of this week's opponent. A large, vocal crowd will really add to the atmosphere. Would be nice to see around 17,000 there, but that might be a pipedream.

Somewhere between 14 and 16 thousand.

Also, 15,500 is pretty good attendance, even for homecoming.

There were times last week when the crowd made some noise (mostly the student section). I didn't think it was that bad.

So far this year we have averaged 14,167 in attendance per game. That's the most we've had for at least 10 years, if I'm not mistaken??

I was at the game and could not believe it when they announce over 15k for attendence. I wondered if that was paid attendance or the actual gate attendance. Either way it did not appear to me to be 15k in the stands, more like 10k, and a very somber 10 k at that. Hopefully fargo-faithful will step it up. The loss to SDSU did not help winning over the bandwagon fans.

I was a little surprised too, thinking maybe 13-14,000. It was a very slow arriving crowd too. Somber? Not where I was at. I thought the Fabulous Fargo Dome was in pretty fine form. Are you sure your drinking enough before kickoff? :D

All schools lie about attendance. They want to make it look better than it actually is. Coaches can tell recruits about the big crowds. Athletic administrators enhance that information for their purposes. It's all a big game.
