I was looking for a place to post on the pro career of Carson Jacobs, but I could not find a thread that was appropriate, so I decided to start one. While I was researching what he did in the White Sox camp late last summer, I found this cool "local boys does good" story: https://hayspost.com/posts/e92bcf5b-8497-4a55-b48b-abd8ff5fa376 Great community pride shown and a good dream comes true ending.
The White Sox assigned him to their entrant in the Arizona Complex League, where he was used as a reliever. He appeared in 5 games, faced 25 batters, with no decisions. He pitched 6.1 innings, allowed one run on 4 hits, with 3 walks and 9 strikeouts, and an ERA of 1.42. Those numbers should give him an opportunity to move up from Rookie league in 2024.
