I have to think that Brent Vigen has to be the top candidate for his replacement.

Nope. Announced it'll be Wyoming's DC, Jay Sawvel.

I mean I get it, but I would rather have a statue of coach Klieman for being such a great coach but genuinely seemed like an even better person.

Sorry for the thread drift. Congratulations Coach Bohl!!

There is no need for a statue. There are a lot of great things he did, but there are some negative things, as well. The great things put him in a position to make those mistakes, but some can't be overlooked. Hall of fame, for sure. That is the limit.

Coaching continuity is very important in FBS, especially right now.

Teams without a head coach find their whole team portaled away, literally. Doesn't even take a week.

Coach Bohl deserves a statue. I'm all for it. Biggest impact of anyone on the program since Mudra.

Congrats to Coach Bohl for a successful & respectable career. He deserves praise from NDSU and Bison fans for the transition to D1 and THREE titles!

Get a portrait or a bust in the hall of fame. Statue is a bit much.

Hey, if we're talking statues, Gene Taylor should have one right beside CB. He took the chance to hire Bohl whose reputation wasn't the greatest at the time; Taylor led the program's transition into FCS when there were so many naysayers. He was the man in my book.

As much as the whole thing that went down when he left, you still have to credit him for bringing in Klieman (and indirectly Matt Entz) who all added to the dynasty. Have to respect what he built here along with GT. Not sure there is any other statues of anyone else at NDSU so not sure what the statue talk is about.

Let's put one up of Chapo, too. Err, I mean Chapman.

Definitely one of the godfathers of DI transition and the football dynasty along with Joe Chapman and Gene Taylor.
