Extremely rare for me to start a thread about football but I thought that some of the Bison faithful might be interested.

1. From Dave Campbell's Texas Football - The NCAA announced new FBS requirements. Here are the biggest hurdles for FCS programs (https://www.texasfootball.com/article/2023/10/31/the-ncaa-announced-new-fbs-requirements-here-are-the-biggest-hurdles-for-fcs-programs?)

2. NCAA denies James Madison’s second attempt at bowl waiver, per sources: What’s next for Dukes?

If you can't raise 5 million through donors on short notice, you dont have the resources to be successful

Exactly, nothing new here.
NCAA has not been approving waivers for anyone.

As the article says, the new FBS requirements are not much of a hurdle.

The only real hurdle is a conference invite, and I doubt the Texas schools have much trouble with that. SHSU will be happy to add Tarleton and SFA, UCA, etc.

Says the guy that missed a 1000+ page thread where this was discussed weeks ago.
