Star Tribune story (http://www.startribune.com/stories/503/5077763.html) touching on possible Bison-Gopher game.

Unless we want to make Coach Bohl look overly optimistic, we'd have to bring 10000 of our own fans. Well my wife and I would go, that leaves 9998.

There are a ton of Alum in the cities. I don't think it would be a problem.

I guess I could go over to Salt Lake and hook a Northwest flight over for the game.......count me in! ;D

With the number of SU fans that would show up for the satellite broadcasts of the Bison/Sioux games in the cities, I don't think it'd be a problem at all. I think we might be up to 20 if we include all those crazy TeamMakers in section 21.

I could generate a fair amount of interest from Rochester alumni, maybe enough for a bus.

There's something like 15,000 alum in the Twin Cities metro area.

Great idea ;D Can you believe we are talking about playing the Gophers in football?? Just a few short years ago we were playing Morningside. If the game was on a weekend with a Vikings home game we could easily get the 15,000 fans in the seats.

If we scheduled it that early weekend where only 6 teams are playing, it might well be on ESPN.

I can't wait to make Sid Hartman eat his words....again.

I was listening to KFAN today just before 5:00 pm on the Dan Barreiro Show. There were some callers calling in bashing Glen Mason. One caller in particular called in about the article in the Star Tribune. He said Glen Mason is saving the future schedules by playing North Dakota State, being sarcastic. Barreiro, his sidekick/ and or producer mentioned they did not read the article, but went on in so many words to say North Dakota State has a large following here (twin cities) and up north, and a good football program. Except for the caller, I thought, in my humble opinion, they gave NDSU more kind words in that 1/2 minute then they did the Gophers durning the whole show.

Yeah, KFAN loves the Bison. *They give Sue hockey way too much exposure though.

Save a couple of seats in the dome for me. *I would way rather see the Bison then the lowly Gophs. *I would like a shot at their men's BB team this year. *I think we could make a game of it even though we are way too green. *Should be an interesting year for Jacks BB.

Wasn't that impressed with Heck and his Rochester crew. *Wouldn't count on too many of them if I were you *;D (just kidding).

I think that the 4 hour trip would be nothing for the Students at NDSU either. I bet we would have a better showing at UM than we did at SDSU.

That's a guantee...everyone has friends to visit in the cities...makes for a much easier trip.

Well sir (clearing throat) Im excited sir about a Gopher game and am sure Sid Hartman is having second thoughts. If he could I am willing to bet he would take back the 150-0 comment and change it so say 42-0. That would be a nice gesture from the genius himself. Yes, thank you sir---click.
