So how does NDSU top this year?

Maybe a Big Sky Conference Title! ? ;D

Congrats to the team on a great year and all the memories!!

Besides Mankato, any word on non-conference games for next year? I had heard on the radio they might be working on as many as 7 home games for next season. ;D :o ::) ::) :o ;D

Is the Mankato game scheduled for Fargo next year? I have not heard any other rumors about the schedule, it may be dependent on the acceptance to the Big Sky or not???

Mankato would figure to be a home game, but I am not 100% sure. ??? ???

Good season indeed. One big disappointment is that it's already over. The biggest disappointment is that we've got a loaded team and staff and it will be '08 until we win the Big Sky and get in the playoffs. ::)

As much as I'd rather see an all DI schedule, maybe Mankato isn't such a bad thing. It gives us what should be an easy game to warm up on. Also, when Maine (even though we didn't play) and Montana scheduled us, it was great for the program. Perhaps we could remember that if any other DII's are looking at jumping up.

Mankato "owes" us this game for some reason. So no guarantee, that's a good thing for the treasury. It is a home game. I think one D-II game is alright per year. Gives us a breather.

I think we should buy out of this game.

The amount of fans that we should be able to bring in with a better quality team will be worth more than the buyout.

Question: Was the 2004 BISON defense the best ever ?

That's relative to who you play. I'd have to say that the 90 defense would be up there.

Don't forget about the '86 D. Not saying they were better than '90 or this year, but they would not take a back seat to either.

Tyrone Braxton and Jimmy Dick just to name a couple.

I would have to go with 86 defense.

I was on the 90 defense and in all honesty the 86 defense was probably better. The big difference being that they never let the 2nd team defense play, not even late in the game. Lot's of points are given up in the 4th qtr. when giving young players a chance to get experience. But all that being said, I was a true fresh on the 86 team and those guys were unbelievably good.

This defense however is awfully good. Except for the SDSU game they were outstanding every game. Hard to compare teams though. Let's just say I'm proud of this year's team.

What was this years defenses strength, athletism or Jimmy Burrow's play calling?

All of those were great this year.

Burrow is going to be a head coach soon.

If I recall correctly, Jim Dick was a scab player for the Vikings during the strike year. Oh yea, I believe he went on a shopping spree in MN that landed him in a little trouble to.
