I finally got the Bisonville version of the record book updated. Turns out that the 2004 team didn't just make history by playing the first season of DI ball; they also set a number of records:

Tony Stauss set the record for career completions.
Steve Walker tied the record for consecutive completions in a game.
Steve Walker also completed 16 in a row over three games which must be a record too.
The team set the record for most TD receptions in a season (22).
Craig Dahl tied the single-game record for most unassisted tackles (12).
Jared Essler set the career record for most unassisted tackles (123).

The college game in general is moving away from the run to the pass like the NFL did 10 years ago. I'm glad NDSU is finally modernizing.

good point, Bison01234

the run never did much for NDSU anyways,

your right, it's about time

These facts alone make T R McDonald's accomplishments as a Bison all the more impressive.

I missed a record: Steve Walker also set the record for highest season completion percentage (.783, 47-60).

btw, I agree totally with Herd Mentality about T. R. McDonald... he was something else. He still holds the record for most TD passes in a season (11). What makes it a bit more amazing is that NDSU only had 12 TD passes the whole year. TR was the only guy the opposing defenses had to cover and they couldn't do it.
