2022 Game 1 Preview: Drake

Drake hadn't named a starting QB last time I checked and they don't have a depth chart up.

It doesn't look good for them. They almost beat St. Thomas but throwing 5 INTs pretty much doomed them.

Other statistical highlights from 2021:


They punted 10 times against Valpo.
Davidson had 22 rushing 1st downs against them.
They were last in the league in nearly all offensive stats.


But somehow they were in all their Pioneer League games other than Davidson (average margin of loss in those games was a little over 7 pts.)

I think it was on WDAY where the Drake coach noted they will have played both participants in the 2021 championship game in one calendar year. Checking the box score from last year's game in Bozeman and it was "only" 24-7 at halftime.

It was 17-3 vs the Bunnies at the half the Fall season before that.

Definitely a day where there game is secondary. Back in the tailgate lot on what looks to be a beautiful day. Raise the banner. Return of football. By the second half, it will be checking out the backups time

theres no 'might be' about it , in my eyes. If they stop us from getting a TD even once in the first half I think the TEAM will view it as a disappointment

Stoked to see some Bison FB again! Always enjoy these games as an opportunity to see some new young faces on the depth chart. And also enjoy seeing our first team defense cheering on the 2nd and 3rd team D and holding onto that shutout.

I just pull mine up, download them as a PDF, and take screenshots of the QR Code for each ticket...hasn't failed me yet.

I was struggling too and then remembered reading that Safari might be needed instead of the iPhone Chrome app. It was still weird because both of our phones are on the same Apple ID so when we send mobile tickets from Ticketmaster to our wallet they show up on both phones and I had to log into Mrs. Hammerhead's phone to transfer tickets there in addition to mine. Sometimes I'm phone-challenged so she usually ends up scanning our tickets. LOL

Maybe it's because there isn't a gobison app to send stuff to the Apple wallet like the Ticketmaster app. I'm one of those people who still likes to use paper tickets and boarding passes. #boomerLife

I did have better luck doing web searches on the names of players than I did on their coach.

Their left tackle PARKER ALTHAUS... his last name seemed very familiar so I was wondering if there was an NDSU connection - there are Althaus NDSU alumni, I found out that much, but it just occurred to me, that his surname might be in my family tree from way back.
Their RB Dorian Boyland - there was a major leaguer with that name back in the 1970's so I'm wondering if there is some relation.
They have a big fella, Ross Palmer (6-6, 340) on the OL whose linkedin page is longer than mine even though he is a college sophomore. I didn't find out much about his HS football career, but his coach thinks he could have an NFL future.
It looks like they have brothers playing too - Trey and Tyler Radocha, one on offense, the other on defense.
