Utah and BYU.

Utah has upped their program the last few years and we've recently scheduled some Pac 12 teams. BYU is a quality program and shouldnt care too much about saying "thanks, but no thanks". And Ive always wanted to visit Utah.

I'd love to beat Minnesota again. Good for recruiting too.

Wisconsin would be fun too. I'd vote for Nebraska but us beating the tar out of them would just become all about how bad Nebraska is now and not how underrated we are. It'd also probably be the last nail in the Frost coffin and I like that guy.

I would love to see NDSU beat Michigan at the Big House. I grew up a huge Michigan State Fan, and I swore that I would never go to a game in Ann Arbor, but of NDSU could somehow get one scheduled there, I would go to watch those "Walmart Wolverines" (if you do not know what a Walmart Wolverine is, just google it) get pounded into oblivion by the Bison.

JMU and Georgia Southern...just to remind them who daddy is.

Other than that - Texas A&M or Penn St (night game - white out).

I'd vote Appy over JMU for a few reasons.

1) That game should have happened at least once but we weren't eligible.
2) App State is a great program with a great fanbase/tradition.
3) JMU is not. Fuck them.

I selfishly want Tennessee. I've always wanted, but have yet to, go see a game at Neyland stadium.

Wisconsin and Nebraska... but, really, anybody in the Big10+ West.

Edit: Just saw LukeDuke's post - 100% that.

Wisconsin and Nebraska because of proximity to Fargo would make for awesome representation from the fan base and epic fun times.

After that Tennessee, Washington, & Ole Miss have fun tailgating environments that would be fun to experience, plus with those teams there’s an excellent chance we’re competitive with them. I’m sure there’s a few others too that’d be a blast.

JMU, Jacksonville State and maybe Sam Houston State. I heard they dominated the FCS before moving up.

JMU* and SHSU** were champions for sure. Jacksonville State well.... at least they get to live in Florida?

Before I die?

Nebraska - sleeping giant on the Great Plains. Devout fans. Etc. Would be a lot of fun and a pretty easy drive.

Notre Dame- a game in South Bend is on any CFB fans bucket list. Beautiful campus.

Alabama - biggest program in the biggest college football hotbed. Would be neat to see NDSU take the field against a bunch of 5 stars.

If Frisco Cruiser Bus can be two words, NE, ND and AL can be two as well.

Alabama or LSU would be good games from the SEC.

Ohio State or Penn State would be fun big ten teams to play.

USC and Stanford would be my pac 12 choices.

But at this point I’d take anyone FBS

1. JMU - need I explain? They combined to win the last 10 national Championships in FCS. Can you imagine?! The undisputed kings of the old FCS- JMU - and the contentder- NDSU. What a thrill it would be to end the #DukesDynasty and take a paycheck for the effort!

2. JSU - I'll never forget their southern speed.... man, what I would do for another chance at them... We have a long ways to go in the speed department, but if we really buckle down, I think we could stand a chance.

3. SHSU - Again, southern speed. But also, their coach is undefeated in the playoffs... Coincidence? nah, thats just unbridled southern speed. Kramer's got his work cut out for him if we ever want to walk into their sold out stadium of 12,000 and leave with a W. prolly will never happen.

shit. I just want sdsu's schedule!

Future FBS games for South Dakota State: 2022 - Iowa 2024 - Oklahoma State 2026 - Northwestern 2027 - Iowa State 2028, 2030 - Nebraska

MN, WI, NE, for obvious reasons

N Illinois, Air Force, CO State, Wyoming and Tulsa, as potential G5 regional rivals

Rice, Cal, and Stanford, just to make a point …

That's because they are no threat to the "big boys" - if they win any of those games, it will dry up quick.
P5 teams seek easy ooc wins to pad their way into a bowl game. It doesn't help them to pay for a loss.

In the low-hanging fruit department: I'd like to see us play Colorado and Oregon because that means I'll be alive until 2028 at a minimum.

They are a threat to win each of those games. But yes, consistent W's will make a FCS team less appealing.

Oregon in '28, so glad to see they rescheduled that game. Never been to Oregon and that would be a sweet west coast trip. Always thought playing the Badgers in Madison would be pretty cool, or Penn State in Happy Valley.

Texas and Texas A&M. Both amazing game day experiences. Also, we have a tradition of doing well in Texas. Might as well re-mark our territory.

... and Nebraska...

Well, folks, if y'all are free on September 3 (https://fightinghawks.com/sports/football/schedule) ... (and you'll probably have a better time than me).

PS - Trap game. Look at Huskers' schedule (https://huskers.com/sports/football/schedule) the week before ... the who and the where. But I expect Bubba will make another "Bubba play call". :facepalm2:
