Sagarin’s “recent” scoring has been doing a really nice job of predicting outcomes these playoffs. It has SDSU as 3 point favorite, probably evened out by Montana State’s home field advantage.

If SDSU falls apart in 2nd half or gets obviously worn down, then I’d say the travel that everybody keeps referencing has probably caught up with them. Whether you consider that a reason vs. excuse is probably up for the interpreter.

I haven’t seen much out of the big sky teams that makes me think they’re going to have their way with SDSU, but who knows

By rule it says 1 second and you usually don't nitpick they if it's a wide out but you were probably going to be more technical on a trick play like this. If he was going laterally and located it so he just stopped to take the snap but not going forward (hard to picture) then it could be legal.

If he has the ball as a runner and touches the pylon with his foot, the ball is dead and spot based on where the ball is at that point. It's often breaking the plane but not always.

Based on the one game sample I just saw Mallot is much better. QP is a good runner but doesn’t have qb instincts and not a very good passer. Mallot looks like he can do everything and just carried his team on his back…as a freshman.

We just faced the best DLine and DBs in FCS and did fairly well.
