Has it been pointed out that Destin is wearing the same number as Jimmy Football when he crushed the Dooks souls at the goaline? Those boys snatched those 6's right out of the air and into history.

That is a fantastic pic and pick.

I don’t get to many games each year but took my nine year for a Christmas present and it was just such a fantastic game and Atmosphere (even though not completely full). It is so much fun to play other really good teams.

This was the first game where I saw my son actually get invested in a game. He's gone to almost every home game since before he was born, so to him the games were just background noise. Yesterday was different.
He was standing and cheering especially at the end. He could sense the tension.

Just before the pick, he turns to me a asks if we are "allowed" to take the ball away from the other team. I sheepishly said yes but that's pretty hard to do, as I hoped the first game he really cared about wouldn't be a disappointment. He just matter of factly says, well we should do that then.

After the pick, we jumped, cheered, and hugged. Good times!

I am so happy for this team and specifically Talbert. We have been hard on him at times when he looked overmatched, but he stuck it out and made the play of the year. Mad props to Destin and the coaching staff for having confidence in him. Dude is now a legend.

Think back to all the INTs that sealed big wins for us or were huge turning points: Beck, Champion, Pike, Tanguay, Thorton, Deluca, Marcus, Grant Olson, Jimmy Football, Talbert and I know I'm missing some. Unbelievable clutch plays consistently by our defense.

Another thing about The Pick of DESTINy that's cool is the JMU QB confirmed the crowd noise played a part in the play. Made it so his line couldn't hear the change in protection which lead to the the pressure up the middle. Awesome to know everyone making noise in the dome that night helped contribute to the situation that lead to that pick. Just goes to show that fan support can have a direct impact on the success of the program on the field.

No matter what, it will forever be known as the “Pick of DESTINy.” It was named that almost immediately after the play and rightfully so. What a play and hearing the roaring thunder from the crowd was absolutely awesome!! It’s almost impossible to try and explain the moment to someone that wasn’t there. It really was one of those “you had to be there” moments.

Pick of DESTINy
Fourth and Frisco against GSU
End Zone Stalker pump fake come back TD against SHSU
End of The Drive TD at K State
Walk off FG at Iowa
Frozen Rope TD against SDSU
Backpeddling Catch Does He Have It TD against UNI regular season
Heart of a Champion drive TD against ISUr Championship
Jimmy Football End Zone Pick against JMU Frisco
Fake FG at Montana as Div II transition

what did I miss? Is that the list of top ten or should something else be included and bump one of those out?

Fairly high on my list is the Heagle interception right before half in 2011 against the Goofs where he kinda botches the lateral but Marcus Williams scoops it up in full stride anyway and runs up the sideline into the endzone. Given the stupid shit that the UofM was doing at the time, it was the perfect way to go into the intermission.

I didn't properly appreciate it in the moment because I was 1. Dumbfounded and 2. Unclear from my angle if it would stand.

Same for me. I was sitting (standing) up on the very opposite corner of the Dome from where it happened, and I didn't quite comprehend it at first. He jumped so damn high, and came down with it so smoothly I didn't understand what was happening.

Half a second later, I realized we would win, where moments before I was certain we would lose. That emotional flip was, in a word incredible.

I can only imagine what the sound was like on the field, or right on the sideline around midfield. Absolute THUNDER.

That dome was rocking. Best environment in years!

Yeah, Becks pick in the natty sealed the win, knew we were going to win as he was rumbling down the field. What about Bruce’s kick return against UNI to start the 2nd half? Talk about a loud dome.

Listened to Talbert’s interview on 1660 Brake show today. Kid is solid and has just put his nose to ground and worked his ass off to be a solid player. He deserves to be in Bison lore for that interception and how he has improved his play over they years.

His interception reminded me of Tyrone Braxton’s in the ‘85 game against the Yotes—major elevation that only a rare, few players can get to. DT also reminds me of Braxton in that both were much maligned in early career, but stayed steady.

Most DBs would have probably just let that over throw go. When I saw the pass my first thought was over thrown ball incomplete. Then the sky hook got my attention.
