NDSU has earned a ninth trip to the championship game which is the most in FCS history... and NDSU did it in just 14 seasons of playoff eligibility.

So that's pretty cool.

And twice we ended the season for the team that had been in the championship eight times - Georgia Southern.

I believe this is their 14th season of playoff eligibility (unless we're not counting the spring season which I'm all for).

He said playoff eligibility, not appearances. In that case it would actually be 13 seasons as 2009 was the first year we were playoff eligible, 2010 was the first year we made the playoffs.

I changed it from 13 to 14 seasons.
