John is not playing in the secondary. 6-3, 280, DT from St. Cloud Tech.

42 tackles from the DT spot is a lot.

I'm interested to see how this guy works out. His brother is solid player and he looks impressive coming out of HS.

Yikes. This has to be the biggest attrition from one year to the next in recent memory.

I would guess the total number of spring roster departures to be below average……so far.
But the position group sure has been hit & lost numbers, as you mention. But if the Transfer Portal departs are included, that’s quite the turnover - especially with what Bison fans are used to seeing.

There were 4 OL signings in the latest recruiting class, plus one PWO recruit, plus one transfer portal recruit for the OL. The Bison, imo, don’t really need a senior OL from the Portal as they have enough Junior & Senior OL (aided by Super Seniors now & possibly next year). But if they could find someone with 3-4 years of eligibility, that would reduce the roster hits that have happened.

I dont think there will be much action at all in May other than walk ons who didnt earn a scholarship or marginal talents. Most enrollment deadlines will have passed including spring ball
