Celebrating Roadwarrior game 500 in a row

A little birdie told me Road's next game is #500......so, post your ideas to celebrate, both serious, and not serious!

I'd also encourage folks to send emails to Matt Larsen reminding him.....

So serious ideas:

Honorary captain
Coin flip guy
Let him enter behind the team from the tunnel then recognize him after the anthem.
Guest on the radio broadcast at halftime
Free pass to NDSU dining center for life (well, 1/2 serious on that one!)
"Space A" flight for any NDSU charter flight (means if a seat is available, he gets a chance to take it)

Other ideas:
Everyone tailgating has to buy him a drink.
NDSU starts own currency with Bob's NIL on all forms bills and coins.
Giant banner hung from the FFD saying "Bob's Got 500 Balls"

This brings up the question, what is the next best streak of games in a row? My guess is that it is a current parent. With the advent of streaming, I can't imagine Roads record will ever be broken. With that said, I hope Road is put under lock and key until after 500 is done. It would be a travesty for him to make it this far only to slip on the ice and break a hip at one of the low brow tailgates he has been invited to.

vans that were all Bison. Ken bought one. Others in the group were Hal Jordet,

and Bill Fellows came up to us and said "They should call you guys the Roadwarriors."
We always had 4-5 cases on beer on board, thus probably starting tailgaiting. In 1984 at St Cloud
we left the game at halftime and drank with the point and and post player. Great times. Road hasn't
missed a game since. He's done a hell of a job carrying on a tradition.

That was Bud Pellerin who had a 797 game streak for USC football games: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Giles_Pellerin

As far as I can tell that's the longest. There's a Bama fan who's currently in the 600s: https://www.tidesports.com/story/news/2021/01/11/ua-superfan-tommy-ray-keeps-streak-intact-49-years-long/6593632002/. That seems to be the longest "active" streak I can find.

It's interesting that Pellerin was inducted into the USC Athletic Hall of Fame in 1995. If there was ever a fan who deserved consideration for the NDSU Athletics HoF (and not just for going to a ton of football games in a row)...

Road says "I want Bama"

It's a cold day in Oxford, MS, but that has not stopped Huntsville, AL's Tommy Ray from keeping his amazing streak going.

Tommy is attending his 643rd consecutive Bama football game, a streak he began 50 years ago in 1972.

Tommy buys single game tickets like thousands of fans- he's a down home, hardworking guy who simply loves his Crimson Tide and does what it takes to see every game in person.
