ROLL HERD!
Ok in 2019 I saw at least 10 different identical "roll herd" bison shirts at the MN state fair being worn by what I could only assume were future students.
I just met with a student from my hometown enrolling at NDSU this fall and he knew I was a Bison fan, and he gave me a "roll Herd!" when we said goodbye.
Now Mekhi Collins is saying #ROLLHERD in his commitment post! https://twitter.com/MekhiCollins2/status/1432059572525707271 Did I miss something? when did the #ROLLHERD memo go out? I definitely missed it. I'm all for having a slogan other than the lamest possible phrase "go bison". But definitely didnt realize we're just taking alabama's slogan lol

How about running a live bison (Corso) onto the field? Oh wait…Buffs got us on that. Still super cool though and I’d love it. We are probably the only program who shoots a 500db cannon INDOORS (do not like).

I read a story on here where we kept a live bison at the game in the Dakotah Field days...... I dont know when that was, but its possible NDSU had that before Colorado.
I honestly dont know why we dont have a live Bison at the game, dont give 2 sh*ts whether or not colorado does it or not. We would/will beat them by 2-3 Touchdowns anyways.
Lets play for it. Winner runs live bison on the field, losers have to euthanize their Bison on the 50 yd line immediately following the game

One thing I cant believe we havent done yet is the LED light show after touchdowns and at half time/pregame. Its baffling that Georgia and Alabama have already pulled it off in their outdoor stadiums, but we're still using manual spotlights with incandescent bulbs straight from the film set of 'Grease'. Theres no reason it shouldnt become a complete rave during the tunnel walk and after each touchdown. No other program has a stadium that is better suited for this than NDSU

Roll herd seems to be an obvious ripoff from Alabama as I don't know of any other schools that say roll <team name>. One of the funniest signs/displays at the College Gamedays in Fargo was someone with a roll of toilet paper and a Tide laundry detergent bottle for roll tide. :)

You are dead wrong. Nothing has ever happened in the history of college football without NDSU doing it first.
Fun fact: football games used to be 3 “periods” but we hated hockey so much and we didn’t want to be like that stupid sport so we made our opponents play us for a 4th period, which eventually became what we now know as “quarters.” We would hold up the 4 fingers as a reminder after the 3rd period that the beat down they were receiving at the hands of the Bison wasn’t over yet.

Neither do BISON roll... they wallow... Unless they've been tailgating since 10 AM and trip on the parking lot... or unless they fall down a large hill...
Clearly, I have nothing better to do today than screw with semantics... And poke some bears (Bison)...

The American Bison is the United States national mammal. No other university can claim that their mascot has that honor. I get annoyed when the Jackrabbits fans do the "horns down" in a mocking way. They might be interested to know that when a Bison (the mammal) charges, he puts his head (and horns) down. :bow:
