The Bison softball team played 23 non-conference games last year before the remainder of the season was canceled.

Three players that were seniors last year have returned for their extra COVID year this spring. Madyson Camacho, Stephanie Soriano and Montana Decamp are on the roster again in 2021.

Yeah dropped quite a few after that bad start, I get the Arkansas games no doubt they have a hotshot pitcher and first game for NDSU the bats weren’t catching up, they will be in the mix at the summit tournament

Finally home games this Saturday and Sunday against USD. Team has played 28 games on the road to start the season. Last home game was May 11th, 2019. All of the remaining games are at home except for four games in Brookings.

What has happened to Paige Vargas? I know she is a control pitcher but this year her stats are much higher than 2 years ago. This year she is 7-8 with an era of 4.28. Is she injured?

This pitching group as a whole has seemed off and weaker than past seasons.... we definitely lack an ACE and strike out pitcher like we have had in past successful years (Menke, Johnson, Sertic). Not sure if it’s injury related or what, but hopefully we can turn it around sooner than later.

NDSU Falls to UND in Summit League Opening Round, 6-5

Not sure if we have hit rock bottom yet. There were 6 Seniors who had experience and have won big games before. The culture of winning has not been established with the new players. It may take awhile to rebuild.
