Figured we could start a thread on this, since Jabril Cox and Dillon Radunz will both be competing . There is a practice recap tonight on NFL network on 7pm. On Tuesday and Wednesday, practices will be televised on ESPNU. The National Team (Radunz) practice is at 11:30 each day. The American team (Jabril) practice is at 2pm each day. The game is at 1:30 pm Saturday on NFL Network. All times are Central.

FYI, Radunz is living up to his “mauler” title.

Second tweet was from this guy. I mean I'm happy he thinks Dillon has looked very good but you have to wonder how much weight his opinion has.

Twitterdraft season is always good for a few laughs when you look at guys trying to make a living off their hot takes.

I mean at the very least he has access to the Senior Bowl, so he must be “in the know” on something.

This guy liked Radunz too https://mobile.twitter.com/CoachPaulAlex/status/1354164105129684994

Also, SI caught up for an interview with our boy: https://www.si.com/nfl/draft/.amp/player-interviews/player-spotlight-interview-with-dillon-radunz-ot-north-dakota-state?__twitter_impression=true

Spencer Brown supposedly had a down day, but Cade Johnson looked good running routes. Just a conference update. I always root for FCS guys in the NFL.

FWIW, Coach Paul is Paul Alexander, who was the long time OLine coach for the Bengals he has more than 20 years of actual O Line coaching at the NFL level. The Bengals have the smallest scouting department in the NFL and leave a lot of it to position coaches, so he was tasked with doing draft/college evaluations for a long time. Like any coach, he had plenty of success stories and failures in terms of drafting and developing O Linemen.

Twitterdraft season is always good for a few laughs when you look at guys trying to make a living off their hot takes.

Draft Twitter is always entertaining... guys that have no NFL experience, and most have zero CFB experience -- but they get on the twitter machine and cast judgement, no matter how stupid the take...

In 2018, i remember one of these guys in his twitter bio made himself "director of talent acquisition" like he was the general manager of an actual NFL team -- they take themselves way too seriously

Not everyone is as brave and bold as Christopher Moen and use their real name and profile pic. Some of us need a break from the ladies once in a while.

Measurement list for Senior Bowl:

LSU Jabril Cox LB
Height - Weight - Wingspan - Arm - Hands
6027 - 233 - 7948 - 3268 - 868

North Dakota State Dillon Radunz OL
Height - Weight - Wingspan - Arm - Hands
6055 - 304 - 8028 - 3328 - 918

So, 34” arm length or better would be nice for a prototype OT, but seeing Dillon Radunz’ measurements reminded me of Minnesota Viking rookie Ezra Cleveland. Cleveland played at RG this season, but his good athleticism projects him to tackle if Minnesota chooses to make that switch. Was a 2nd round draft pick. Cleveland - 6’ 6” - 311 - 33 3/8 - 9 (ran a 4.93 40)

https://www.si.com/nfl/draft/nfl-draft-events/stay-up-to-date-with-senior-bowl-measurements-throughout-the-entire-week

Northern Iowa Spencer Brown OL
Height - Weight - Wingspan - Arm - Hands
6084 - 314 - 8238 - 3400 - 1038

South Dakota St. Cade Johnson WR
Height - Weight - Wingspan - Arm - Hands
5103 - 186 - 7148 - 2900 - 938

Central Arkansas Robert Rochell DB
Height - Weight - Wingspan - Arm - Hands
5117 - 195 - 7900 - 3238 - 868

Unfortunately for Robert Rochell, Central Arkansas had him listed at 6’ 2” 195, so saw his name on a “loser” Senior Bowl measurement list.

Northern Iowa Elerson Smith DL
Height - Weight - Wingspan - Arm - Hands
6064 - 262 - 8300 - 3328 - 1048

Illinois State Christian Uphoff DS
Height - Weight - Wingspan - Arm - Hands
6024 - 213 - 7518 - 3068 - 1000

Based on some conflicting reports, it appears that Radunz had a few bad reps to start practice, but adjusted and turned it on as practice continued yesterday. He started out well today. This is him stonewalling Daelin Hayes. Hayes was dominant yesterday. Responding to adversity and adapting will be a plus for NFL scouts.

In other FCS news, Spencer Brown was beat in the only rep that I saw, and Cade Johnson continues to impress.

Saw some tweets that not only is Radunz been practicing at tackle and guard, he was even snapping the ball earlier today at practice.

Matt Miller just called Jabril Cox a top 40 player. Jabril has been excellent in coverage and has had some nice pass rush moves. Both he and Radunz are improving their stock so far.

As expected. Would be awesome if the floor for both was the second round.

Once the 2023 NFL Draft has been completed, it would be really interesting to figure out how many draft picks were on the 2019 NDSU team that beat JMU in the Natty.

As well as how many NFL players were on the JMU team. Can't remember which team but saw that one NFL team had 3 OL from JMU so I'm guessing they're putting quite a few in the NFL as well. Edit....it was Tampa Bay.

Radunz started at LT and played in 2 maybe 3 good long series. Played well. Jabril is doing what Jabril does. Making money.

Mugging to the camera at the Sr Bowl, not a good look (looking at you Pitt players). Cox & Radunz stock climbed, some others took big declines.

I'm guessing Jabril had an LSU helmet? Was hoping he would have a hybrid NDSU/LSU one.

He’s gonna need a Vikings helmet after I tried one of the draft simulators - over at Fanspeak. Thought I would get it done before the rankings change after Senior Bowl week. So, a combination of knowing kinda what the Vikes need, plus liking favorite players (admitting I don’t know many of the FBS players).
My Minnesota preferred draft:

14: R1 P14 QB Trey Lance - North Dakota State
78: R3 P14 OT Dillon Radunz - North Dakota State
90: R3 P26 LB Jabril Cox - LSU
102: R3 P38 S Richard LeCounte III - Georgia
116: R4 P14 TE Tony Poljan - Virginia
122: R4 P20 EDGE Rashad Weaver - Pitt
131: R4 P29 DL Malik Herring - Georgia
154: R5 P13 OT Spencer K. Brown - Northern Iowa
168: R5 P27 WR Amari Rodgers - Clemson
194: R6 P15 CB Robert Rochell - Central Arkansas
221: R6 P42 CB Benjamin St-Juste - Minnesota
236: R7 P14 RB Rakeem Boyd - Arkansas

No regional bias here......:judges:
But actually, that’s in the area of where the Draftek version had the players ranked.
Had to choose between the big OT from Northern Iowa and the Jackrabbit WR at 154, knowing both would be gone the next time I selected. Went with the big OT - thinking Radunz could move inside if needed...

Radunz was the 2nd highest graded offensive player in the senior bowl game.
