Any idea of what networks they will be considering? That would be great to see these games on ESPN U or FOX Sports Net

AFAIK- CSTV and the FOX college sports networks previously- maybe some other regionals like Altitude.

Do you know if any sat providers offer those?

Bisonguy

CSTV is available on Comcast, Time Warner, Cox, Charter, Adelphia and Insight cable systems, among others, and is also available on DirecTV (channel 610).

I don't see the Fox College Sports Networks on Direct TV, but some of the programming is also broadcast on the regional FOX Sports Networks, which is part of the Sports Pack on Direct TV, along with CSTV and ESPNU.

Dish Network has the regional FOX Sports Networks, but no CSTV or ESPNU.

Both providers also have Altitude, which has a deal with the Big Sky conference, so there will be some I-AA football on there.

Voting Time!
I-AA.org
http://www.i-aa.org/survey.asp

This past Spring we initiated the nomination process to suggest games for national television I-AA Game of the Week. All the nominations are in and now it's time to vote!

You receive one vote so select a game from each week and a game of the year, fill in your name and email address, and click the submit button.

Follow the results at I-AA.org. Once the survey is completed appropriate television networks will be notified of the recommendations. The networks retain the right to make final decisions. (last year's results (http://www.i-aa.org/article.asp?articleid=40408))

Ballots will only be accepted through the form until 11:59 p.m. on May 31, 2005. The results will be published shortly thereafter. (print weekly list (http://www.i-aa.org/2005GOTWlist.html))

Is their record better than Montana's?That's not a serious question is it? In I-AA Georgia Southern is the best by far.

Is their record better than Montana's?

Georgia Southern is to DI-AA, what NDSU was to DII.

From I-AA.org playoff history (http://www.i-aa.org/article.asp?articleid=32664):

All-Time Playoff Victories
Teams with the most victories in the I-AA playoffs.
1. Georgia Southern 38
t2. Marshall 23
t2. Youngstown State 23

Georgia Southern: 6 I-AA NC's
Youngstown State: 4 I-AA NC's
Marshall, Eastern Kentucky, Montana: 2 I-AA NC's

Yeh, I looked at that record on I-aa.org and I guess when GSU wins once, they win the fallowing year. Happened 3 different times for them. They have also taken the title 6 out of 8 tries in the championship game if I counted correctly.

Is their record better than Montana's?

Seriously. Be realistic. Do some research. Montana aside, GSU (6 NC's) is absolutely THE premier I-AA program in the country. Just ask SDSU :o Someday I hope the Bison schedule them but until then we have the SIU Salukis to worry about. That is no small chore in and of itself.

results NDSU "wins" two weeks- looks like we had a lot of voters as NDSU games were consistently top 5

I hope they televise both. It would be great to see the Fabulous Fargo Dome packed for SDSU and Montana State would attract a huge regional TV audiance.

Clearly NDSU is a national force in DI-AA. And we are not even playoff eligible yet!!! ;D

Would televising the game in the Dakota's impact attendence significantly? I know personally I would prefer to be at the game live.

Gamehunter

I don't think it would affect it to much. Maybe the travel group from Brookings wouldn't be quite as large ??? I personally would rather be at the game too. But of course, the living dead might be the exception to that rule. Either way I can't imagine it not being a sellout. Just maybe less living dead and more room for the rowdies!!

I'm looking forward to traveling up to the game and taping it at home. The best of both worlds. ;D 8)
