I'm all for a DT at 6'4" 275 right now coming out of high school!!! Especially a North Dakota kid!!! Welcome Jaxon!! Now lets hope that they don't try to move him to OL. We can get great OL all over the midwest but I like this kids size and nastiness.

Agreed, DT needs to be a point of emphasis. We need to make sure we own both lines of scrimmage. Thought we were a little light as far as depth went for the interior D-line last year.

Cripes, when I went to Mandan, we might have had two guys over 200 lbs and only a couple over 6' tall - and hardly any of them could run a 40 in under 5 seconds.

Cripes, when I went to Mandan, we might have two guys over 200 lbs and only a couple over 6' tall - and hardly any of them could run a 40 in under 5 seconds.

I wonder how badly #6 (white) was concussed. He likely was not sure where he was immediately after that collision.

My brother in law was his AAU basketball coach. He said the same thing, great kid. Also read an article on him in the Bismarck Tribune that said he carries an 4.0+ GPA too. Seems like we got another good one all around.

What you are actually hoping is that he is athletic enough to play tackle at that weight class. Few large men are. If they move him to O Line, which is a trend we see all the time, it says more about where he best fits in than any emphasis on a position group by coaches.

Put it this way, there are very good reasons the coaches have taken athletic defensive ends and turned them into tackles in recent years.

State quarterfinals, now 21-20 late 3rd quarter - Davies - on a windy night with Davies going with the wind in the 4th.

Jaxon had a big weekend at the ND State Track meet winning the Javelin and the Shot Put where he threw over 60’ beating the favorite K State commit Andrew Leingang. The kid is a competitor!
