Anybody seen any new tv ads or billboards for Bison Football this fall? Seems to me by last year they were already running. I think we're only a little over 4 weeks till the start of practice.

The only thing I have seen so far is the "Super Saturdays. Where will you be? coming this fall" billboard on I-29 south at the 32nd Ave. S exit.

I posted last year's TV ad on July 8th, so I would expect to see the new one airing soon.

In the meantime, everyone can check out the 2003 and 2004 TV ads on the multimedia section of the Bison Insider (http://www.bisoninsider.com/) site.

Ticket sales begin this friday, July 1st, and an advertising campaign will most likely start soon also.

According to the Forum, the official marketing push will begin this weekend. "Super Saturday" is the theme and ticket packages have just been announced. It's about time as I'm sick & tired of reading the sports section in the Forum and seeing the und ad for "the tradition continues...". Blech! I guess winning one NC in 109 yrs of fb constitutes "tradition" up in GF ::).

GO BISON!!

No TV ad tonight (at least that I saw- or didn't).

Anyhow, here's something to tide anyone over that needs a Bison football fix-

Words of caution:

1) You need Quicktime to view it- if you don't have it you can download it for free at: http://www.apple.com/quicktime/

2) filesize is about 3.4 Mb, so you probably don't want to download with a dial-up.

3) Don't have high expectations- it's just a slideshow, under a minute, of the Spring Game. It's more of an experiment that I'm sharing than a finished product. :-/

4) The file is on my ISP server, therefore the bandwidth is limited, so please right-click the link and choose "save target as" to help save bandwidth.

Here's the link: It's not a Bison TV ad, but it's better than nothing (http://www.myweb.cableone.net/dehoff/SpringGameThunder.mov)

When are the Bison going to update their road jerseys? I thought I heard they were going to update them this season since they did the home jerseys last season.

GO BISON!!

You mean choking in the playoffs? That tradition? God what a joke!! With only 1 nc and that one they had to have help with Grand Valleys all star qb out for the playoffs.

I heard they were supposed to do it this year but I got that info LAST year. Don't know much other than that. I'm curious as to what they'll look like.....

I think they will be similar to the home uniforms but say North Dakota State where the home uniforms say Bison. Of course they will also be white.

Still haven't seen a TV ad yet, but the marketing campaign has already won four awards- Bison Marketing Campaigns Collect NACMA Awards (http://www.gobison.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=2400&ATCLID=153743)

I did see a billboard up today with pretty much the same picture as the one in the right side of the article (with White, Popowski, and Robinson(?)) on University and about 3rd ave. N.

The TV ads have started. Caught the tail end of one tonight, about 7:00 on WDAY. I'll try to capture one and digitize it soon.

I managed to get a capture of the TV ad during last night's WDAY 10:00 news.
I have a Quicktime version of the TV ad up until I get the other codecs done and sent to Bison Insider for the crew to put up in their multimedia library.

If you don't have Quicktime on your computer, you'll need it. You can download it here-http://www.apple.com/quicktime/

Anyhow, here's where you can view it (it might take a few seconds to load): http://homepage.mac.com/d.hoff/iMovieTheater2.html

Edit: Filesize is about 1.8 Mb- if you have dialup or need a smaller filesize, PM me and I can probably email you a more compressed version, down to about 500kb.

Edited Edit: No, the color is not messed up in the ad, and yes, it appears that Steve Walker has a +15 lighting bolt pass attack.
