Its not too early to start planning your trips to the away games! I was wondering which road games any of you are planning on going to this season?

This is a airline that flies direct from Bismarck to Las Vegas.

This would work well for people going to the Southern Utah game.

One way fares are $104, and flights are only on Friday and Monday.

Two weeks ago they had a sale for $79 when I purchased mine.

It's further than Bozeman. (Google says a little over 1000 miles)

A group of my buddies were considering going to the Minnesota basketball game and then driving to Carbondale the next morning. Only problem was we'd have to be on the road by about 2 am. (700 miles)

Montana State is the one I have circled but haven't booked anything yet. Hopefully KLM will still be flying to MSP even if NWA goes on strike.

I should be at Montana State and at Southern Utah.

For now it's the 3.5 hour drive to most of the home games for my road trips. Waiting for the .5 hour road trip to the Minnesota game in the future.

I plan to go to the cal poly game. Been there once before and it is one of the most beautiful places I have been to. Plan to do the game and see the hearst castle and some other areas. Just about choked when I have looked at airfares and hotel rates but I am going to suck it up and go. Also would like to go to MT State but will probably won't be in the budget. But cal poly is a definite go for me.

Where are you flying from and into? I flew from Fargo to Oakland last year for about $400 via United for the UC-Davis game. Granted, it's still about a little over a three hour drive from Oakland to SLO, but it's a nice drive.

We didn't quite make it far enough south to SLO (stayed mainly in Carmel), but Big Sur is definitely a place I'll be returning to.

We flew to Denver, and then had a connecting flight to Oakland last year.

The best fares I have seen have been about 370 thru chicago on united to la and then drive to SLO. I think I will do that and really enjoy it. As much as I am glad we are now D1 I must admit that I do miss the good old days of driving over to MSU or up to Grand Forks. A lot cheaper and logistically pretty simple compared to getting to CA.

And now the good ol' days of being able to drive to Minneapolis to watch the Bison play.

All the home games are road trips for me......240 miles one way. As for the away games I will probably go to the Montana State game and will consider making the trip to Southern Illinois. How many NDSU students, fans and alumni do you think will make it to Bozeman?

Bozeman is 201 miles closer to Fargo than Missoula.

I would say that is a conservative guess. I know TONS of people who are planning to attend. We will definately not be short of representation in Bozone.
