Whoops, I thought you meant wins against FCS teams.

In that case, obviously put in Iowa and K State. Take out '11 SHSU and '19 SDSU.

To me it's about momentum that was gained by the win so I'd change mine to

Win at Montana while transitioning
1st Goofer Win
1st Natty
GSU at home #2
K-State

*Honorable mention: Loss at EWU.

Those wins are what propelled NDSU to it's dominance over the past decade.

2. SDSU 2014 playoff
3. Goophers 2007
4. Wofford 2012
5. UNI 2014
Also, anyone who places a UN_ win in their top 5, will be falsely imprisoned in a bathroom with Riley Stapleton.

Anyone that lists any of the victories over 1-10 and 3-8 Minnesota has severe little brother syndrome and should get that checked out

At the time, sure they were nice wins.

It was huge in building the fanbase at the time. Looking back now not huge wins compared to say Iowa, but as far as building program momentum AT THAT MOMENT, I'm perfectly comfortable arguing my point.

25-24 win over Montana in 2003 should be on everyone’s list

That ISUr game was heart-attack worthy. That alone would put it far ahead of the JMU NC game.

In no particular order (FCS vs FCS only)

2011 UNI- First game where the Dome got LOUD, and first D1 win against UNI

2011 SHSU- First FCS Natty

2012 Wofford- First real triple option challenge that required great discipline

2012 GSU- my favorite, and one hell of a game

2017 JMU- Affirming the Dynasty continues

These maybe weren't the best games entertainment wise, but I believe they have the greatest impacts.

2. Kansas State
3. Iowa State
4. MN 2011
5. MN 2007

The 2011 UNI game is forgotten by many but it was a huge, get the monkey off our back game. UNI owned us our first three years in the Valley. I remember a feeling of relief after that game!

2020: JMU...right now that is all that matters.

This is before FCS but I would say the first game ever played by the university is important.

As a former player in the DII era, I can’t describe how much the 2003 game win over MT, AT MT meant to me and my fellow ulums. The told us we could play with anyone in the FCS, anytime, anywhere and against anyone, and we pretty much showed that.

That game also caused major $$ contributions to NDSU/Teammakers. It was a “LET’s GO” moment for our FB program.

IOW, a “here we come” moment!

Just imagine what teams you were on during 80s could have done to their 1-AA contemporaries.

Not to diminish the 2003 team, but I don’t think they were at the same level of the great teams on the 80s.

IMHO, the really good D-II teams from that era (before scholarship reductions) would have been playoff contenders in the FCS.
