Roster Changes

Nice article in the Forum today talking about some position changes and some of the guys who won't be with the team this year. It sounds like Bizal will be moved to OLB.

I noticed Belmont isnt listed at SS behind Dahl, any story there??

Well, Belmont is a true freshmen so he has only been to a couple practices - it'd be pretty odd to see him on any depth charts already. Are you thinking of somebody else, maybe Tony Bizal? He was a backup safety who got moved to OLB.

I see now that Belmont is listed as a DB, I figured they had him slotted at SS, my fault.

Ah, I see what you mean... I think what happens is that they use DB for any position in the secondary kind of like they use OL for any position on the offensive line. I've noticed NDSU does this with incoming players. When they decide where a guy will fit in best, they get more specific about which position he'll be playing at.

It was just an oversite on my part as a glanced at the roster, but I just figured when he was recruited that he was going to be at SS, so I was surprised not to find him there. At least he will learn under a good SS in Dahl, and take over for him in 2 years, assuming he stays at SS.
